Why do I need to do this? It is a requirement of Canadian Anti-spam Law (Bill C-38) which takes effect on July 1, 2014, as well as the U.S Can-Spam Act. You don’t want spam, and I don’t want to send any! Why do I have to confirm my request? This two-part process is actually a safety net. When you hit submit at the bottom of the form, you’ll be sent a confirmation email. Simply click on the link in the email and you will be confirmed. This confirms that the email address actually belongs to you! It prevents automated processes such as spam-bots from bombarding the site with fake requests as these process don’t have the ability to respond to emails! Can I change my preferences?
